Healthcare students at the BCCCA are preparing for National Certifications in Phlebotomy, EKG, Certified Medical assistant, Pharmacy technicians and Patient Care Technicians. Upon completion they will be eligible for an ACE credit which may be applied to their transcripts to many colleges and universities in the United States.
What is an ACE transcript? An ACE credit recommendation represents college-level equivalencies based on a review of workforce training, military training or occupations, and other sources of learning outside the college classroom, such as national exams and certifications.
The American Council on Education’s College Credit Recommendation Service (ACE) has evaluated and recommended college credit for these National Healthcareer Association (NHA) certification exams. These accredited certification exams are for becoming a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT), ExCPT Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification, and Certified EKG Technician (CET) and a Certified Patient Care Technician (CPCT/A) can now be considered for college credit for those pursuing higher education, at participating institutions, after certification.
#BartowCares4U ATTENTION
It’s time to practice! In the process of becoming an attentive person, we must look and see the people around us as needing our attention. They have needs just like we do, and it’s time to start giving! Here are a few questions to help you choose who needs your attention!
Show You Care:
• Who needs you to learn more about their interests, joys, dreams, or struggles?
• Who needs you to enter THEIR physical world? Share these words, “I would like to go to/visit one of your ______. When is your next____________?”
• Who needs you to spend time doing what they enjoy rather than insisting on doing something you want to do?

The Anatomage Table is the most technologically advanced anatomy visualization system. It allows students to virtually dissect and study things like muscles which would otherwise be difficult to visualize.
Thank you Ms. Sipla for the training and demonstrations you provided our Healthcare Science team with. This is an incredible addition to our program.
#BartowCares4U ATTENTION
We all have a need for attention, but we also have unique and personal ways we like for others to show attention to us. This week we want to make it personal! Of the ways mentioned below, which one is most important to you? How do you most like others to meet your need for attention?
• Spend time with me in order to learn about my joys, struggles, and dreams. Know them and be “in them” with me.
• Enter my physical world by visiting my work, home, or other places I enjoy going or things I enjoy doing.
• Spend time doing what I enjoy, rather than insisting we do what you want to do.

#BartowCares4U ATTENTION
“Hey, do you want to meet up for coffee? I’d love to hang out.” We all want to feel seen and cared for by others. That’s why, this month, we want to take a deeper look at the need for Attention. This month we want to take the time to enter another person’s “world” and show that we care. Let’s go!
Show You Care: Post a picture and text on social media where you talk about one of the great ways to meet the relational need for attention and who gave it to you.

#BartowCares4U ACCEPTANCE
All relationships matter. When it comes to becoming an accepting person, we need to think about those around us and be intentional at giving acceptance. We can’t be people that only talk acceptance; we must actually live acceptance. So, this week, look around, choose one of the ways listed below, and give some acceptance!
• Grab some lunch with a friend. During lunch, list your differences and how glad you are to have them, in your life.
• In the next 24 hours, tell your parents, grandparents, or sibling, “I’m glad I’m your _____! We’re not a perfect family, but I love being in our family with you!”
• If you notice someone has messed up or failed in some way. Show acceptance. “Don’t worry. We all make mistakes. You’ll get it next time!”
• Look for someone who serves you (I.e., cashier, server, barista) and may be different from you. Celebrate those differences. “You are amazing. We come from different places, but I like hearing about your life. I’m totally impressed by you!”

#BartowCares4U ACCEPTANCE
To become a more accepting person, we need to practice giving acceptance to others. We must look at and treat others in ways we want to be seen and treated. In the same way that we’ve experienced someone accepting us, we must practice accepting others.
Show You Care: Take time to give acceptance to friends, teachers, or family members. Decide the two specific people you will show acceptance to this week.
• Who is different from you in some way but could benefit from a warm smile, friendly face, or from being welcomed into the group?
• Who seems uneasy, uncomfortable, or sits alone and might need someone to hang out with or talk to them?
• Who needs you to celebrate their differences with them?

#BartowCares4U ACCEPTANCE
To be known and liked no matter what. That is at the core of
acceptance, but what does it look like personally for you? We all have a
need for acceptance, but we also have unique and personal ways we
like for others to show it. Which of the unique dimensions below matter
most to you?
• Go out of your way to welcome me, especially if my physical
appearance, lifestyle, or beliefs differ from your own.
• Look beyond my faults or imperfections and care about me
anyway.
• Welcome me when I am feeling up and also when I am feeling
down.
• Be quick to forgive me when I blow it, mess up, or offend you. Give
me a second chance.
Show You Care: Post a video with a shout-out to the person who gave
you acceptance in this personal way.
