My name is Jennifer Baker; this will be my eleventh year of teaching, and I am so excited about joining the faculty at BCCCA. I am originally from Stone Mountain, GA, but presently live in Kennesaw with my husband, my dog, Zelda, and my cat, Ziggy. I graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor's in English, and I earned my M.A. T. in Secondary English from Mercer University. I love working with students and in my spare time, I like to swim, hike, do yoga, ride my bike, work in my yard, and cook. I am looking forward to a great school year; I will be teaching 10th Literature and American Literature, and I can’t wait to get started.
Mrs. Amber Richards was from cornfields and cows in Northeast Ohio before moving to Georgia, where she has lived for the last 16 years. Three years after high school, she started her academic career at Georgia Highlands College and earned her associate degree in Philosophy. When she felt the inspiration to become a teacher, she enrolled at Kennesaw State University and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in English Education. Now, Mrs. Richards is pursuing her master’s degree in Education with a concentration in Secondary English at KSU and loves the opportunity she’s been given to participate in the vision and teach here at the Career Academy. In her spare time, Mrs. Richards loves hiking trails that lead to waterfalls, singing, and traveling.
