We had time segments from 5 up to 30 minutes as the day progressed. Students and teachers enjoyed this extra time for reading their favorite books!

After serving Bartow County Schools for 30 years, Ms. Ogles announces her retirement! We were so fortunate to have her at WES for 28 years! Here are just a few of the things we will remember about Ms. Ogles.
- Advocate for school counselors and the role they play in a school.
- She was an integral part in the creation of Empty Bowls and the Backpack Buddies programs.
- Worked as a liaison with community organizations/churches for providing meals for students. She worked with organizations to assist with Angel Tree and Shop with a Hero.
- Many students were in her classroom each morning to stop in for a quick hug and encouraging words to start their day. This simple gesture has made a huge difference for many students.
- She knows our students and their families well. She has served our school and community for so long that she has worked with student's older siblings, parents, aunts, uncles, etc.
- She always provided helpful insight and direction, bringing clarity for the next steps needed. Other counselors in the system would often call Ms. Ogles when working through a difficult situation.
- Has worked incredibly hard to implement counselor instruction curriculum to fit the needs of the students. She adjusts when needed, based on student needs. Students can easily recite certain catch phrases, stories, songs Ms. Ogles has taught them over the years. They use these tools throughout the school day, and they will carry our students onto middle school.
Congratulations, Ms. Ogles and thank you for your service and dedication to the children in our school and community!
The November #BartowCares4U word of the month was respect. We are proud to announce the WES Students of the Month that exemplify this word. These students were recognized on the morning announcements, presented with a certificate and brag tag, and were invited to a breakfast sponsored by Sutallee Baptist Church.
Guess who spread some holiday cheer at WES? 🎄✨
Mrs. Claus herself paid us a special visit, and the joy is contagious! 🎁🥰
Grateful for the festive magic she brought with her.
Our White Elementary Chorus helped spread the holiday spirit with their incredible performance of "Christmas at the O.K. Corral" on Tuesday. The students and staff enjoyed seeing their musical talents: singing, acting, and dancing!
Thank you Mrs. Catron, Mrs. Chatman, and Ms. Cole for working with our chorus!
These fifth-grade students at White Elementary pledge to respect others and choose to lead lives free from violence, substance abuse, and other dangerous behaviors.
