MINER SPORTS UPDATES!
In a short but sweet match, The Red Top Academic Team faced Cartersville Middle in our first home meet. Cartersville began strong but by the second round Red Top was on top to win the match 125 to 100.Join us next week for another home academic meet.
The Miner Football Team got a great win yesterday over a BIG Woodland Wildcat team. It was a total team effort as we jumped out to a 28-6 lead and were able to get everyone playing time. Woodland fought back late in the game which allowed our offense to gain several first downs at the end and run out the clock in the Victory formation to finish 28-20. The team battled adversity throughout the 2nd half but stepped up to get the win. The offense was led by a big running game with over 300 yards rushing by Deiby Sanchez, Jerome Sanders and Elijah Slocum. The defense had a tough task in stopping the big ground game for Woodland. The defense was led by Dalton Robertson, Bryson Morgan, Amir Heath and many others as our undersized defense had a lot of success gang tackling the big running backs for Woodland. The Miner football team will travel to Adairsville next Wednesday for another big region game. So come out and support the football team next Wednesday as we take another step to get to the region playoffs.

This week “Happy” will visit a teacher who always brings a bright light to our school. This recipient is always willing to step up and ensure RTMS is doing everything we can to assist all students in meeting their academic and behavioral excellence. Colleagues of this person breathe a sigh of relief knowing that they have this person as a teammate and partner in the classroom.
She never left the family but we are glad to have her back in the building! Next week Happy will go to Mrs. Mercedes Woodyard!

It’s Spirit Tee time! At LIVE2540, we just launched our 2021 Spirit Tee Collection. We’re really excited to have the Red Top Middle colors appear on the limited edition spirit wear collection this year. We know y’all are very engaged in the local Backpack Buddies program and our local spirit wear tees help support our local Bartow County and Cartersville City schools Backpack Buddy programs. These shirts will help their mission to fill the gap of food insecurity for children in our community.
