Happy National School Counseling Week to our very own Mrs. Stephanie Hadaway. HCES is so fortunate to have her guiding our students to dream big and achieve greatness! Her smile and positive attitude brightens every day at HCES!

You're Invited to our Grand Event

Book Fair Coming Soon

HCES would like to thank Angela Pritchett, Store Lead at Petsmart, and Josh Wheeler at Quick Response Fire Protection for donating stuffed bears to our Pre-K students and our Dojo store. These bears have already received so much love from our students. Again Thank you, and we wish you Happy Holidays and a wonderful New Year.

HCES would like to say, "Thank you" to Cass Middle School Beta Club for brightening HCES students' day.
Cass Middle School Beta Club made their annual visit to spread some Holiday cheer. They read and provided cookies and juice to HCES Pre-K, Kindergarten, and First Grade classes.

Every school in the county decorated a tree at the Cartersville Public Library, and they’re having a contest. You can vote for the tree you like best by placing a donation in that school’s jar at the circulation desk. The Hamilton Crossing Tree, located in the Teen Center part of the library, has been decorated by our Third, Fourth, and Fifth graders. Fourth and Fifth graders learned repoussé, and our Third graders focused on symmetry and made a 3D ornament from paper. I love all the unique and individual designs, and there are no store-bought decorations. Our students did a great job!!
Please take time over the season to stop by and see all the great art on the HCES tree as well as vote for your favorite.

Holidays at HCES Chorus Concert was last week. We even had an elf in the audience. The chorus did an amazing job!

The HCES LEGO Robotics team will be doing a fund raiser the week before Christmas Break to raise money to buy a solar panel and battery generator for our school greenhouse. They will be selling “Sunshine Grams” for $1.00 each. Sunshine Grams will be sold for ONE WEEK ONLY, Dec. 12-16, 2022 near the front office. Students can buy as many as they want for their friends, teachers, family, or even for themselves! Sunshine Grams come with a message that will brighten someone's day and a cute sheet of stickers. Checks can be made payable to HCES with the memo “Sunshine Grams”.
Thanks for your help with our innovation project.

Last night some of our HCES chorus members did a fantastic job performing with the District 7 Honor Chorus. They did a wonderful job representing our HAM Fam. Thank you Ms. Crossan for helping prepare our students for this performance.

There was an election at HCES yesterday. No we were not voting for Governor or Senator, but our vote was just as important. Fifth grade students have been running for 4-H Offices and yesterday was the vote. Great job and Congratulations to Ethan - President, Aubrey and Isaac - Vice President, and Sophie Lee - Secretary. HCES knows you will represent us and 4-H well.

You can find all the pictures from our Book Character Parade on our FACEBOOK page. We enjoyed seeing all the costumes and books represented.

BOOK CHARACTER PARADE is Next week…Monday, October 31st!! If you wish for your student to participate, the costume must be a character from a book they have read. There can not be any scary/gory costumes.
More information for adults wishing to attend coming soon….

We can't wait to see what ideas you come up with for RED RIBBON WEEK! See the categories and be creative!
