Our teachers are back today for the first day of preplanning. We wanted to celebrate our achievements from last year and just let them know how glad we are to welcome them back, so we took them for a time of bowling and pizza at @LakePoint. We had a blast. And we have some pretty good bowlers also. A huge shoutout to @PrichardInjuryFirm for sponsoring this event. What a blessing to have such supportive community partners for our school.

Parents/Students:
Our Summer Interventions Program will be June 4 - 27, 2024 from 8:00 am - 11:30 am.
It will be Monday - Thursday, with no Friday sessions (ELA and Math only). Location: all schools. Lunch and transportation will be provided. You will be notified this week if your student is currently identified as being on the list. Your student has until the last day of school to show proficiency in math or ELA to get off the Summer Intervention list. This initial notification is just to let you know that they are on that list now and need to work to get off the list. If you are notified that your student is on the list, please work with your student to meet proficiency on the essential standards that he or she does not have to attend summer interventions.

Dear WMS Parents,
Staff/Teacher Appreciation Week is approaching quickly. We are planning a week filled with gratitude and recognition for our wonderful educators May 6th – 10th. We have some exciting plans in store to make the week extra special and we would love your involvement and contributions to make it even better.
We are asking for your support in the form of optional donations. We would love to put together some gift baskets that can be given out randomly each day during appreciation week. Some basket ideas are Ice Cream Sundae Basket, Coffee Basket, Grilling/BBQ Basket, Pasta Lovers Basket, Gardeners Basket, Baking Basket, Fun in The Sun Basket. Any item, large or small, is greatly appreciated and will help us to express our thanks to our staff.
To donate, drop off your item(s) at the front office or send it with your student by Thursday, May 2nd. Should you have any questions, please contact Wendy Eubanks at 770-606-5871. Thank you again for being an essential part of Woodland Middle School.

Parents and Students:
We will be taking our Milestones Exams the next two weeks. These are important measuring points which help us learn a lot about how how much progress our students have made as well as how effective our instruction has been. This is a great opportunity for our students to shine and show what they know. This is the moment that we have been preparing for all year. I know that our teachers and students have been working hard on the right work all year and are ready for these tests. I know they are going to do very well and succeed on these exams. I encourage you to follow a normal schedule the next two weeks, make sure your student(s) get a good night's sleep each night and a nutritious breakfast each morning. Please make sure they are at school on time each day. We need for all students to be at school the entire time of testing. This is not a time to be stressed. It is a time to take a deep breath, relax, and show what you know. We got this. Let's show what it means to be a Woodland Wildcat! Please see the schedule below or on the image.
Week 1: April 29 - May 3
Monday: ELA Section 1
Tuesday: ELA Section 2
Wednesday: ELA Section 3
Thursday: Math Section 2
Friday: Math Section 2
