We have arrived at that time of year. Our Georgia Milestones Assessments are the next two weeks. Please see the schedule below. Our teachers, staff and students have done a phenomenal job all year focusing on learning. I believe our students are as ready as they can possibly be for this assessment. I am excited for the opportunity for our students to show what they know. I don't want our students to feel stress or anxiety about these assessments. I want them to sense an opportunity to shine and reflect what they've learned all year. You can help us in the following ways: 1. Please make sure your student(s) are present every day during these assessments; 2. Ensure your student gets a good night's rest each night; 3. Make sure your child eats a good breakfast each morning; 4. Express your confidence in your child's ability to perform; and 5. Praise your student for a job well done! I know our students are going to perform well on the Georgia Milestones. We have the best teachers, staff and students around. This is a chance for them to shine and show what they know. Schedule for Week 1 (April 28 - May 2) Monday, April 28: ELA Section I Tuesday, April 29: ELA Section II Wednesday, April 30: ELA Section III Thursday, May 1: Math Section I Friday, May 2: Math Section II Schedule for Week 2 (May 5 - 9) Monday, May 5: 8th grade Science or Physical Science Sections I & II Tuesday, May 6: 8th grade Social Studies Wednesday, May 7: Makeups Thursday, May 8: 8th grade Algebra Concepts EOC Section I; Makeups Friday, May 9: 8th grade Algebra Concepts EOC Section II; Makeups The assessments will be given each morning.
