Family Survey Announcement Dear Parent or Guardian, White Elementary School will take the new Georgia School Climate Survey this year. Each parent or guardian is invited to take the family version to answer questions about the current school or schools you have a child or children attending. If two or more children attend the same school, please only complete one survey for that school. The survey measures what you think about how the school engages with families. Answers are not linked to names in any way. When typing answers, please do not give names or information that you don’t want to share with this school. Data will be shared with school leaders to help improve the school and will be published on the GaDOE website. Please help by sharing your honest opinion on this 22-question survey. What an incredible day at the First Lego League qualifier at Cloverleaf Elementary on Saturday! Our two WES WarriorBot teams put their skills to the test in robot design, innovation projects, robot games, and core values. 🎉🤖 A special congratulations to the Great Warrior Sharks for advancing to the Regional Competition in Chattanooga, TN on February 8! 🦈

Friday was 100 days of learning and fun! We embraced our inner centenarians by dressing up as 100-year-olds! 🧓👵

Next week we will be having Dollar Days to support Mrs. Elrod and her husband in Cartersville Dances with the Stars to raise money for Backpack Buddies and the Good Neighbor Homeless Shelter. Your child will bring home more information about this today and all money is due on Monday, 1/27.

100th Day of School! Friday, Jan. 24

What a fun-filled half-day at WES! The students and staff decked out in their holiday favorites and enjoyed a morning celebrating GOLD behavior with movies, snacks, crafts, and games. The staff enjoyed a catered lunch donated by Texas Roadhouse, Nothing Bundt cakes for dessert, donated by Kennesaw Transportation, and lots of door prizes donated by Hugh Evans at Robert Loegr Dealership. Thank you to our community sponsors!

🎉 Big news, Warriors! We just wrapped up our PBIS raffle for the first semester! Students showed their GOLD behavior by earning Warrior Golds in classrooms, lunchrooms, and beyond. 🎉 Congratulations to our winners, Maverick Stiles and Kendall Franklin, who won bicycles! 🚲

👀The Grinch himself was on the prowl, visiting classrooms and trying to stir up some holiday mischief! 🎄 But don't worry, he made sure everyone stayed on task. He even ran into his friend Cindy Lou Who!

🌍🎉 What a wonderful event last night celebrating Holidays Around the World! Our Christmas concert was a highlight, showcasing an amazing performance by our chorus!🎶 Plus, we enjoyed artwork from students, snacks and crafts from various countries, and lots of delicious food and drink! A huge thank you to our PTO volunteers, Cass HS Chinese Language Department, Temple Kol Emeth, Gondolier Pizza, Shree Ram Madir, New Beginning Baptist Church, Cass HS HOPE, and Beta Club for making this event possible! What was your favorite part of the event? 🍽️🎨

Drone Picture Cancelled Due to extreme flooding on our track field, the drone picture that was scheduled to take place on Friday, Dec. 13th has been cancelled.

Come enjoy a Christmas concert by the White Elementary Chorus! 6-6:30 in the Gym Our students create AMAZING art all the time! Learn more about the art lessons at all grades! 6-7pm Front Hallways Many of our families celebrate different holidays at this time of year. This year, White Elementary school’s Gateway students are learning about other countries, and the PTO is thrilled to help to extend this learning to our entire school community! The Magnet program for International Studies and the Language Departments at Cass High School along with community sponsors and families are partnering with us to create our first Holidays Around the World event on December 12. Each booth will feature a different winter holiday celebrated around the world and will feature a craft, game, or a treat to sample. 6-7pm Cafeteria

White Elementary's history can be traced back to the 1890s and we have been on Colonel Way for the last 50 years! We are going to take a school wide photo to celebrate this achievement NEXT Friday, Dec. 13th (weather permitting). Each grade level will wear a specific color for the photo. K-2 - BLUE 3-5 - GOLD/YELLOW Thank you for your help in having your child wear the appropriate colored shirt next Friday. :-)
