Read-A-Thon would love to make that dream come true!
Our school is holding a Read-A-Thon Fundraiser, and it's a fantastic opportunity for your child to raise money while enjoying their favorite books. As a special bonus, any child who sends 10 text messages through their dashboard to promote our fundraiser will automatically be entered into a nationwide drawing for a magical trip for four to Walt Disney Theme Park. Read-A-Thon will select one lucky winner each season from all the Read-A-Thons held during that season.

Proceeds from the WES Read-A-Thon will go to the purchase of a Book Vending Machine!

Our goal for our Read-A-Thon fundraiser is to raise funds for a BOOK VENDING MACHINE for our school! :-)

More info to come!
Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade eSports team traveled to the eSports Arena at the Bartow College & Career Academy to compete in an exciting Mario Kart tournament! Our students showed great sportsmanship, teamwork, and determination while representing WES.
🏆 A huge congratulations to Mallory Jones for bringing home the 2nd Place Medal! We are so proud of your hard work and accomplishment!
While at the event, students also had the opportunity to explore the Innovation Hub where they learned and played with amazing hands-on technology including an interactive learning floor, ClassVR, circuits, Ozobots, Cublets, LEGOs, and more!
What an incredible day of competition, learning, and fun! Way to go, WES! 💙💛

The Cass High School spirit band and cheerleaders joined us on the track to help get our students excited and ready to do their best on state testing. Each grade level showed off their own cheer, competed for the most school spirit, and our 4th grade students proudly took home this year’s GOAT Award! 🐐
Teachers and special area staff also joined the fun in our inflatable costume race, with Mrs. Blackburn the Sumo Wrestler claiming the championship! Students also learned about this year’s exciting Level Up incentives, including extra recess, popsicles, ice cream sundae parties, and even a CiCi’s pizza party for top achievers. Most importantly, our students left feeling encouraged, confident, and ready to shine on the Georgia Milestones! #LevelUp #GeorgiaMilestones #StudentSuccess

Keep it up! :-)
🌟 Employee of the Month – April Nominees! 🌟
We are excited to recognize two incredible members of our school family whose dedication and hearts truly shine every single day.
👏 Mrs. McStotts 💙
Mrs. McStotts is exceptionally passionate and dedicated to her students. When you walk into her classroom, you can immediately feel the urgency and commitment she brings to helping every student succeed. She collaborates well with other teachers and consistently advocates for her students. Mrs. McStotts is always well-prepared, yet flexible and encouraging with others. Her students love her because they know how deeply she cares. Beyond the classroom, she also leads a staff small-group Bible study and continually steps into new roles to help make WES even stronger. We are truly blessed to have Mrs. McStotts at WES.
👏 Ms. Dysart 💙
Ms. Dysart is truly a bright light at WES. Whether it’s her own students or any child who needs to feel seen and heard, she is always there with compassion and care. Her kindness doesn’t stop with students—she is just as supportive of her colleagues. She is always willing to listen, offer encouragement, or simply share a laugh when it’s needed most. Her generosity, warmth, and spirit make a lasting impact on everyone around her. WES is so incredibly lucky to have her! ✨

Missing just 2 days a month (about 10% of the school year) can make it harder for children to learn.
Even a few absences every couple of weeks can cause students to fall behind.
Tardiness also adds up—being late can affect not just your child’s learning, but the whole class.
Good attendance also helps children feel connected to their teachers, classmates, and school community. It builds confidence and a sense of responsibility that will carry into high school, college, and beyond.
What Families Can Do
Establish consistent bedtimes and morning routines.
Prepare clothes and backpacks the night before.
Schedule medical and family trips outside of school time when possible.
Reach out to teachers, counselors, or other families if your child feels anxious about school.
Have a backup plan for transportation in case of emergencies.
Let’s work together to ensure our students are present, engaged, and ready to learn—because EVERY DAY COUNTS!
