Bartow County Schools held an Employment Fair on May 3rd at the Bartow County College and Career Academy. Over 100 students from all of our high schools attended the fair to learn about the many local opportunities they have after high school. We were excited to host 18 vendors from business and industry, colleges, and the military. Several students were offered the opportunity to interview for positions and learn about options to help better their future.
Students from the BCCCA participated in the 42nd annual Georgia CTI State Leadership Conference (SLC) held at Rock Eagle 4-H Center from April 17-19, 2024. 600 students from 92 schools across the state competed in 29 career pathways, where over 430 students showcased their creativity and skills. Congratulations to BCCCA and Cass High School senior Ian Wilmot, who won 1st place in the CTI state competition Technology Skills Level 2.

BCCCA wanted to encourage our students to be safe as they enter the prom season at their base schools. The Academy, in partnership with local law enforcement, first responders, EMTs, firefighters, and Piedmont Medical, hosted a Prom Promise event Friday. It included a crash scene simulation complete with firetrucks, ambulances and a helicopter. We want our students to not drive under the influence of any substance, be a passenger in a vehicle with a driver who is under the influence, and to not be distracted while driving on the roadways. Instead, we wish our students a safe and memorable prom season. The Bartow County community cares.
