The First Visit

Apply to be a Read to Grow Volunteer

The Bartow County School System welcomes volunteers who are willing to spend time with a classroom helping students learn to read.  Ideally, volunteers spend an hour a week with the classroom, but we can work with your schedule.  Prospective volunteers must attend a training and get fingerprinted for a background check.  Both of these are conducted at the Bartow County Schools Central Office, 65 Gilreath Road.  Once cleared, all volunteers are given a blue card that must be present during every school visit.  Volunteers will be assigned to a specific school and classroom.  The teacher will provide the activity, the volunteer will provide the support and smiles!
