Friday the third grade students at Hamilton Crossing Elementary school had an opportunity to bond on a personal level with our school resource officer and other police officers from the area. The officers brought ice cream to share with the students and talked about the job of being a police officer. They stressed the importance of understanding that they are here to help when needed. The classes were broken up into groups to ask the officers questions and talk with them to develop a better understanding of them as a person and discuss their jobs. We were all grateful for the time with them and the ice cream was yummy!
