The 5th-grade GATEWAY students and teachers, Mrs. Shelly Abernathy and Mrs. Jen Colston, enjoyed a three-day trip to Jekyll Island, where students completed a unit study on beach ecology. Some classes they attended were: beach ecology, dock ecology, salt marsh ecology, maritime ecology, night walk, dolphin boat tour, North End study, Herpetology, sea turtle ecology, and many more. It was an amazing learning experience for all.
