Hamilton Crossing finished out their final STEM Walk for this school year. The students were highly engaged while the teachers were being fantastic facilitators. Students did a wonderful job presenting information about the clubs we have here at HCES. Pre-Kindergarten amazed us with their chickens, chicken coops and chicken eggs. Their eggs were even starting to make their way out of the shells. Kindergarten was bridging ELA with STEM by reading the A House for Hermit Crab by Eric Carle and planning and creating a new house for Hermit Crab. First Grade amazed us with their Chicken Coop prototypes. These prototypes will be in the Hub for our students to pick their favorite. Second Grade was finishing up their life cycle unit. It was amazing at how thorough the students were with explaining the life cycle. It was wonderful to see the students creating a replica of their research on butterfly and frog life cycles. We are looking forward to our STEM future here at HCES.
