Thank you to Mrs. West and the Euharlee Grow Getters for providing soil and seeds to our third grade students during art class, and teaching them about plant care and pollination. Each student was able to design and sculpt a planter with clay in art class which was fired, glazed, and fired again. Finally, the students took home seed and soil to help them grow a flower in their own handmade planter!

Look at these amazing, embroidered wall hangings created by some of our second grade artists in Mrs. Bearden's art class.

Euharlee 4th grade artists in Mrs. Bearden's art class created clay penguin sculptures to go along with our school book "Mr. Popper's Penguins.".

Paul Pugliese came to visit first grade to speak with them about plants. He spoke about his career involving helping sick plants and teaching others how to take care of plants.

Ryan Torrence and engineering students from Adairsville High School visited with Euharlee 5th graders to teach them some engineering basics and to help students plan a structure that can withstand an earthquake. Our 5th graders will be sharing their finished designs with AHS students later this week.

This will be our last STEM Challenge of the year. The task is to make a 3D insect with recycled items.

Today, we enjoyed a visit from our very own Captain Cook as we say goodbye to Mr. Popper and all of his penguins. Thank you to all of our families, students, teachers and staff members who made this read along a very memorable experience! We hope that this has revived a love of reading to everyone who read with us.

We received mail! We were excited to receive a package from Admiral Drake from Mr. Popper's Penguins!!

Hamilton Crossing has a new story up for the Trail Walk. The story is "Feel the Wind". This is a non-fiction text with great information leading into spring. There is even an activity on the last podium you can do with your kids. We would love for you to check it out!
