These beautiful rainbow weavings were created by Mrs. Anderson's 2nd grade class during Mrs. Bearden's art class. The students have been learning about fiber art and the role of weaving in a variety of cultures around the world. The students have applied their understanding of pattern and their fine motor skills in creating their one-of-a-kind wall hangings.

Fourth grade paper mache ice cream cones look good enough to eat! Students in Mrs. Bearden's art class learned about Pop Art and the food sculptures of Claes Oldenberg. They then constructed an armature from newspaper, poster board, and masking tape. After covering the armature with a layer of paper mache, the students mixed paint colors to create their own flavors and added sprinkles, cherries, and drizzles on top!

FLYGIRLS! Fourth grade students, Bailey and Kennedy, joined the Cobb Flygirls this weekend. They learned drone rules according to the FAA, maneuvered drones through obstacle courses, and learned to code drones.

As part of STEM Day, 5th grade was visited by Tiko Jones with Cobb EMC. Mr. Jones taught students about electrical safety, reviewed circuits, and explained how electricity travels from power stations to homes. Mr. Jones also brought Cobb EMC's electric Ford Mustang which allowed students the opportunity of viewing EV technology. Thank you, Cobb EMC and Mr. Jones!

Reminder: When coming to eat lunch with your child, please remember that the lunchroom does not take credit cards. Visitors have to pay for their lunch using either cash or a check. Thank you so much in helping us with this!
