Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade math team members participated in the county MathFest competition this week! These students were selected for the team because of their outstanding math skills, dedication, and hard work.
We are incredibly proud of the effort they put in and the way they represented our school. They worked hard, did their very best, and had a fun day celebrating their love of math!

March is Gifted Education Month! We believe everyone has many gifts and talents. Here is a collection of challenges for all students to improve their critical thinking skills. Students received these sheets last week. Once complete, put your name and your teacher's name on the paper and turn it into the office. Twenty-four ransom sheets will be drawn to win a prize! Completed challenges are due March 30th.

Emerson's Tome Society Book Club went to Athens on Tuesday to take part in TomeCon 2026! Students enjoyed taking part in sessions with authors of books they had read, visiting the vendor fair and the book market, and attending an author event where they were able to personally speak with authors. It was a fun, literacy filled day!

Students had an amazing time learning about Cherokee life during their visit to the New Echota site in Calhoun yesterday! They explored traditional homes and important community buildings, including the government house, church, and school. The highlight of the day was participating in a mock trial, with teachers taking on the roles of "criminals." It was an engaging and memorable experience for everyone!

The Emerson Gardens work is underway to make a beautiful space for our students and staff! We are in beginning stages of getting the soil just right, trees planted, and seeds ready to plant for flowers/pollinators and vegetables!
Our plan is to also create a remembrance area for our beloved 1st grade teacher, Ms. Harris, who passed away last school year!
We have put together some items and tools that will be helpful in making our Emerson Gardens beautiful, welcoming, and beneficial to our students and staff! We are looking for anyone willing to help CLEAR THE LIST! Tag your favorite company and family members! We would truly appreciate any resources, gifts, or time anyone has to offer!
