The Class of 2022 will officially turn their tassels this coming Monday, May 23, 2022, at 8:00 P.M.
The ceremony will take place in the Doug Cochran Stadium at Cass High School. This exercise culminates the efforts of the graduating class for their high school career. Seniors MUST arrive by 6:30 p.m. and report to the main gym. The ceremony is a serious occasion, and we intend to emphasize this to your senior.
For your benefit, a professional photographer will take a picture of each graduating senior receiving a diploma. Parents may go online to Cady Studios website at website at https://home.cady.com/and view these photographs. Directions for ordering these pictures are given on the website.
Members of the audience will not be permitted to go onto the field to take pictures during the ceremony. Graduation is a ceremony, and we plan to conduct this ceremony with the utmost decorum and respect. Please do not bring noise makers of any kind to the school. If seen or heard, these items will be confiscated, and those individuals will be escorted from the stadium.
The graduates will receive only a diploma cover during the ceremony. Counselors and staff will distribute to graduates their official diplomas after the ceremony in the gymnasium. Seniors be sure to have all hold slips cleared and do not cause any disruptions during or after the ceremony which could jeopardize receiving your diploma.
DRESS AT GRADUATION
We feel the graduating senior is representing his/her family at each event and should dress accordingly. We require that the senior males wear a white shirt and dark tie, black or navy-blue pants, dark socks, and black dress shoes for graduation. Females should not wear dresses that are longer than their gowns. All seniors, males and females, should wear dark shoes (no white). Jewelry should be modest. Caps and gowns will be worn at all times. Students must comply with the dress code for graduation. All other dress code policies regarding piercings will be enforced.
FINANCIAL OBLIGATIONS
Prior to receiving a diploma, all financial obligations (money for lost books, laptops, fines, fees, etc.) must be cleared through Mrs. Powell, Bookkeeper, 770-606-5845, ext. 1005.
