Parent 2021-22 Attendance Reminders

ALL excuses (parent and medical) should be turned in to the attendance desk or to the 1st period teacher as soon as possible.

Regular Attendance:

Absences CANNOT be cleared by calling the attendance office.  All absences require a parent note or medical excuse.

Please allow 3 to 5 school days to input excuses in the system.

REMINDER – students are only allowed 4 parent excuses for absences and 4 parent excuses for tardies per semester.  One day absent or late per parent note.  All other excuses must be medical, or they will remain unexcused.

 

All excuses must be submitted within the semester in which the absence occurred.  Any notes received after the semester is over will not be accepted.

 

Check-out procedures and Transportation/Bus changes:

 

PHONE REQUESTS ARE NOT ACCEPTED.  Permission can be given by email chs.attendance@bartow.k12.ga.us or by handwritten parent note (phone # and legible parent signature) turned in by 9:00 a.m. on the day of the intended check-out or bus change.  Otherwise, an authorized person on the student’s file will need to come into the building and sign them out.  STUDENTS MUST SIGN OUT IN THE FRONT OFFICE BEFORE LEAVING.

 

When checking out your student, please allow plenty of time for pickup.  NO call ahead before arrival.  Be sure to have your ID.

Students are NOT ALLOWED to check out or leave campus for lunch.  NO food service deliveries (Grub Hub, Door Dash, etc.)

Covid Issues:

All Covid related information; questions, test results, etc. - must go directly to our school nurse:

Driver’s Permit:

Students needing a Certificate of Enrollment or ADAP must request them by signing in on the computer located at the attendance desk.  Requests are accepted Monday – Wednesday and are ready for pickup on Friday.
