Adairsville Middle School is pleased to announce 8th grader Benton Bailey as our Point of Pride representative as he exemplifies the trait of DEDICATION. Benton, son of Brett and Ashley Bailey, was nominated by his Spanish teacher, Mrs. McGuire. Mrs. McGuire states that she has taught Benton for 3 years, and his dedication has been unwavering. According to Mrs. McGuire, Benton always checks and double-checks with her to make sure he understands all assignments. He communicates if he is having any problems and collaborates with Mrs. McGuire to solve any issues. Recently, Benton told Mrs. McGuire that he still had the holiday infomercial he created last year in Spanish memorized. He asked if he could recite it and was able to recite it word for word! You could not ask for a child to be more dedicated to his school or his classes. Benton is a very impressive young man and will go far in life!

Adairsville Middle School is pleased to nominate 6th grader Jasper “Knox “ McStay as its Point of Pride recipient this week! Knox, son of Audrey Rader, was nominated by not just one teacher but two as he exudes the quality of integrity! According to Mrs. Hedden, Knox is “the most mannerly young man…he is the first to reply with ‘Yes ma’am’ or ‘No ma’am’.” Mrs. Hedden shared that recently Knox was taking an AR Test and the password saved to his computer; Knox IMMEDIATELY shared the error so that the password could deleted. Ms. Arrington shares similar sentiments about Knox, stating that, “Knox exudes the word ‘integrity’ every single day at school. He is extremely honest and hardworking. Knox has demonstrated the upmost respect for his teachers, and he has actually come forward to inform us of issues that would have otherwise benefitted him greatly if he had not reported them. ‘Doing the right thing when no one is watching’ comes naturally to Knox! He is an absolute joy to teach and makes all of us PROUD!”
