WARRIOR TRIBE WELCOME: Is your new role as principal even official until your name is painted on the side of the iconic Wes-Man’s truck?! What a welcome! Thank you, Wes-Man’s Restaurant, for taking care of our own Amanda Elrod, who’s assuming the role of WES principal this year!
WHIRLWIND OF SUCCESS: The Discover Bartow Magazine, a publication of the Daily Tribune, featured our magnet programs recently, and we're beaming with pride! Our students, staff, and community partners worked so hard last academic year, amid a pandemic, to create unbelievable experiences not found anywhere else.
"Seeing the drive that these students have for learning, watching them blossom into leaders and take control of their educational experience has been earth-shaking. I have loved watching each of them come into their own - and they're only freshman." - CHS Magnet Coordinator Emily Thompson

SEAMLESS SUMMER MEAL PROGRAM: Just a reminder, due to the holiday fast approaching, we will not be able to provide our Summer Meal program July 5-9. Meal services will resume at all locations on July 12 and end July 22.
BARTOW VIRTUAL ACADEMY: Fifty-five students have been accepted into our first-ever Bartow Virtual Academy! This completely online learning experience starts with an orientation later this month.
SUMMER INTERVENTION: Just by holding our new Summer Intervention program the month of June, 588 additional students were able to meet proficiency on their identified essential standards! They're ready for the next academic year! Our teachers did an outstanding job by stepping up and helping those that needed a little extra assistance before they moved on!
BUDGET APPROVAL: The Bartow County Board of Education approved the FY22 budget this week, and that allows for a 4% salary increase for all employees, continuation of a one-time payment in December, reading interventionists at all schools, and technology improvements among many other initiatives. The BCBOE also extended Superintendent Page's contract for another three years. WE ARE SO THANKFUL! Best leadership around, and it's leading to significant increases in student achievement and national awards!
BARTOW GIVE A KID A CHANCE: This AMAZING event is happening this month already! See below for registration information. It will be a drive-thru event at all locations again this year. Volunteers will bring out backpacks full of school supplies to your vehicle. Unfortunately, they will not be able to provide haircuts or health screenings.
So, load up your kids and come down! "Blessings from the BLESS Coalition" because we all know how expensive school supplies are!
