BARTOW GOES BACK TO SCHOOL: Emotional moments at Mission Road Elementary School today as students and staff experienced their last "first day of school" in their current building. Looking out the windows, they could see the walls going up in their new school, which will be ready to go by next August! To mark this unique time, Mission Road's new school theme this year is "A Sweet Ending to a New Beginning." And, luckily, Photographer Louis Tonsmeire will take pictures of all their iconic murals this year and put them up in their new school, so memories will not be lost! In the meantime, Chief Human Resource Officer Macy Defnall, along with Mission Road families, are sharing in this "sweet ending."
BARTOW GOES BACK TO SCHOOL: This year, in the Bartow County College and Career Academy, you'll find a brand new pre-K classroom! Doesn't it look amazing? And students love utilizing the gym to work out those "jitters." It's completely full, but remember this option for next year! Our Early Childhood Education students at the BCCCA love having our youngest students close by! Today, Deputy Superintendent David Chiprany toured the campus and met the kids and #futureTeachers!

With the largest enrollment to date, these Tigers are off to a great 2023-24 academic year!

NEW: We are excited to announce a new online payment option for school meals. Effective immediately, we will no longer be using My Payments Plus. Instead, we will be utilizing a similar platform called LINQ Connect for families looking to add money to their student(s) meal accounts electronically. To get started, go to linqconnect.com and click on the “register” button in the top right corner of your screen. Follow the prompts.
If you have money in My Payments Plus, it will automatically transfer to your LINQ account. With the new system, you will also have the option to track purchases and add an autopay feature. As with My Payments Plus, you will be charged a small convenience fee for this service.
Additionally, you can also fill out your Free and Reduced Meal application on the same platform.
We hope you find this tool easy and convenient! For questions, please do not hesitate to call Central Office or your school cafeteria manager.

NEW: The Bartow County School System has been approved to use federal relief funds to purchase essential school supplies for all students in grades pre-K through 12.
This one-time allotment of funds will cover most of the supplies needed in students’ classrooms this academic year.
Updated elementary and middle school supply lists will be published on your school’s website in the next few weeks.
Items that will be provided by the school system include but are not limited to paper towels, Lysol wipes, loose-leaf paper, crayons, pencils, notebooks, and binders.
Graphing calculators, pencil boxes, headphones, backpacks, and lunch boxes are examples of items that the school system will not be able to purchase.
Again, check your school's website for an updated supply list as the academic year approaches, and please note, this is a one-time disbursement of supplies.
This is another exciting opportunity for our school system, and we hope it helps provide some financial relief for our families.
