We are thrilled to announce that Mrs. Seigar Davis has been promoted to Assistant Principal at Allatoona Elementary School, starting July 2025! Mrs. Davis has been an integral part of her school community, and we couldn't be more excited for her to step into this new role.
As we celebrate this wonderful news, we also want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mrs. Teresa Kraft, who will be retiring at the end of May after 20 years of exceptional dedication and service to ALES.
“I feel incredibly lucky to be part of the Allatoona community and to work with such inspiring students and staff every day,” said Mrs. Davis. “Back in 2014, I did my student teaching at ALES with Mrs. Manley in her third-grade classroom. After graduating from KSU, I moved to Chattooga County to teach, but I found my way back to Allatoona three years later, which felt like a full-circle moment.”
Mrs. Davis has been in education for nearly a decade, with the last seven spent at ALES. Throughout the years, she has had the opportunity to teach third and fourth-grade English Language Arts and serve as both the Reading Specialist and Learning Support Specialist at ALES over the past four years.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Kennesaw State University and later completed her master’s and specialist degrees in Elementary Education at the University of West Georgia.
Mrs. Davis grew up in Menlo, Georgia, in Chattooga County, but calls Bartow County home.
“Outside of the school building, you can find me cheering on my favorite sports teams: the Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Falcons, and Atlanta Braves. My favorite color is and always has been blue,” added Davis. “I have a huge weakness for anything sweet and nacho-related!”
Join us in congratulating Mrs. Davis on her “sweet,” well-deserved promotion and in wishing Mrs. Kraft a happy and fulfilling retirement!
