About Cass High
Cass High School is situated in the center of Bartow County. It is one of three high schools in Bartow County School System. Cass High School has approximately 1,500 students from varying backgrounds. Winner of the prestigious Governor's Cup for 2006 and 2007 for improvement in SAT scores, Cass High provides a comprehensive curriculum for high school students. Cass staffs 92 certified teachers and staff members and has a total of 129 staff members. Many of Cartersville and Bartow County's outstanding professionals and business leaders are proud to declare themselves as members of the Cass High Family including 16 members of the Cass High Staff.
Academically, Cass High provides each student with the highest quality of educational programs and a rigorous curriculum. For students seeking a greater academic challenge. Cass offers Honors and 10 AP courses, with at least two in each core subject areas. Students have the opportunity to participate in the dual enrollment program with the local colleges. Cass provides a multitude of vocational opportunities in its CTAE program. Opportunities are cosmetology, health occupations, agriculture, business, culinary arts, carpentry, and work-based learning. Students interested in the fine arts are provided ample opportunities to continue their love of the arts. Course offerings are art, band, chorus, and drama. Other programs offered are Spanish and JROTC.
Athletics and clubs are an integral part of the Cass High School program.
We have a variety of clubs, student professional organizations, and honor societies. We offer a wide array of both boys and girls sports that encourage greater physical health and wellness through participation in physical activities. Most sports offer both boys and girls teams on several levels of participation: varsity, junior varsity, and freshman teams. Cass High continues its winning tradition participating in region and state playoffs and championships.
