National Beta Scholarship Program- 12th grade students who are active National Beta members are eligible to apply and participate in the scholarship competition. Selection of National Beta Scholarship winners is based on a number of factors with special emphasis on academic excellence, demonstrated leadership, commendable character, school and community service, as well as National Beta Involvement. DAR-Daughters of the American Revolution Scholarships- DAR offers 26 different scholarships for graduating high school seniors. Applicants must be citizens of the United States. Applicants must attend or plan to attend an accredited college or university in the United States. Areas of scholarships available: Merit Academic Based, Political Science History Government & Economics, Medical & Nursing, Music, and Chemistry majors. See Mrs. Martinak for a full list. Deadline for all scholarships is January 31, 2025.

University of North Georgia Scholarships- deadline January 31, 2025

1) Army ROTC Scholarship-Awarded Nationally. Covers room and board or tuition and fees(Can be used in conjunction with the HOPE Scholarship). Awarded as 3- or 4-year scholarships. You will also receive a $420 monthly stipend once you sign your contract. Service obligation: 4 years Active Duty Army and another 4 years of Active Duty, National Guard, Army Reserves, or Individual Ready Reserves(It is also possible to commission into the National Guard or Army Reserves with a 6-year obligation).  2)University of North Georgia Military Service Scholarship (GMSS)- Full Ride scholarship. You will also receive a $420 monthly stipend once you sign your contract. Service Obligation: 4 years in the Georgia Army National Guard.  3)University of North Georgia Leadership Scholarships: Awarded to any high school students who will be Cadets. Scholarships range from $500-$12,000. Fully funded by Alumni and donors to the UNG Corps of Cadets.  4)UNG Georgia ROTC and Future Officer Grant: The grants pay all in-state Cadets who attend the UNG Corps of Cadets. $750 each semester (In addition to other scholarships and stipends). $2,000 each semester for in-state Cadets who have signed contracts to be on the Commissioning pathway to the Army (In addition to other scholarships and stipends). ***2025 Matt Graves Four-Year Scholarship- sponsored by the Georgia Mining Foundation a $4,000 scholarship ($1,000 per year) for students planning to attend GA Tech, Mercer University, Kennesaw State, UGA, or Georgia Southern. Please see Mrs. Martinak for the scholarship requirements and application. Deadline is February 7, 2025.

***Georgia Mining Foundation- To assist students in Georgia with college tuition, GMF was established with a $40,000 scholarship fund to be distributed as $500 scholarships. In addition to $500 scholarships, the foundation will be giving away 3, $1,000 ($500 a year for two years). The applicant must: have been accepted and plan to attended an accredited college/university in GA, attain a minimum score of 960 on the SAT or an 18 on the ACT. Students must have an overall average of 85% or higher, complete required high school courses including: 4 years of English, 3 years history plus social science, five sources from these math/science courses: Algebra I, II, Geometry (Math I, II, III); Physical Science (Physics); Biology; Chemistry, receive a recommendation (teacher or counselor) and signature of a faculty member on application , provide an essay (200 words or less), provide evidence of financial need, and provide a copy of high school transcript. Applications are available with Mrs. Martinak. Deadline is February 7, 2025.

***Georgia Mining Foundation TECHNICAL Scholarship- LOCAL scholarship opportunity for students applying/accepting into a technical college in Georgia. This year we will award $500.  See Mrs. Martinak for an application. Deadline to apply is February 7, 2025.

Family Savings Credit Union C.V. Glassco Memorial Scholarship-This scholarship is for graduating high school seniors from the counties served by the Family Savings Credit Union. Applications will be ranked using the following priorities: (1) Displays attributes of a positive role model, mentor, advocate, or leader; (2) Strong community service; and (3) students having a minimum GPA of 2.5. Students may apply online at cfnea.org/receive/scholarships Deadline to apply is March 1, 2025.

Anna James Academic Scholarship- will provide a Georgia male or female high school senior the opportunity to secure $2500 to support their higher education goals. ***2025 Shaw Associate Dependent Scholarship Application- this scholarship was created to help the dependents of Shaw associates realize their dreams of continuing their education at a college, university, or technical school. Students must exhibit a passion for creating a better future for themselves and their communities. Full guidelines and eligibility requirements are outlined on https://shawinc.com/scholarship All applications and related submittals must be received by March 3, 2025.

The GEICC 2025 Scholarship Application- Applicants must be graduating high school seniors in the state of Georgia who are pursuing a STEM career. Applicants need a GPA of 2.5 or higher to be eligible. Scholarships are awarded without discrimination based on race, gender, creed, national origin, or disability. At least five (5) scholarships of $1,000 each are available. To Apply go to https://www.getintoenergyga.com/scholarship/ to submit your application. Deadline March 9, 2025.

***Ray Dellinger Scholarship Fund- LOCAL Scholarship. Applicants must be senior and scheduled to graduate in May of 2025. Student must submit an application, single page essay, teacher recommendation, transcript, SAT or ACT scores, letter of acceptance from a college, university, or technical school, and a student aid report (SAR) from the FAFSA if they are applying for financial need instead of merit. Applications are available with Mrs. Martinak. Deadline to apply is March 10, 2025.

***Etowah Scholarship Foundation- LOCAL Scholarship. Students must have a college acceptance to qualify. Ms. Thomas from the Etowah Foundation is here every Tuesday & Thursday in the AHS Counseling Office to help with applications from 9:00-2:00. ***San Souci Women's Club Scholarship- LOCAL Scholarship. $1,000 to a graduating senior who has been accepted into a college or university. Applications are available with Mrs. Martinak. Deadline to apply is March 19, 2025.
